Corporate Tax Senior - Reading - £45,000 to £55,000 + Hybrid Working

If you're building a career in corporate tax but want more than a never-ending conveyor belt of compliance work, this could be a very good next move.

A well-established and growing accountancy firm in Reading is looking for a Corporate Tax Senior to join its expanding tax team. You'll work with an interesting mix of clients, from owner-managed businesses and technology companies through to private equity-backed businesses and international groups.

There's plenty of compliance work to get your teeth into, but importantly, you'll also work closely with Managers and Partners on more technical and advisory-led projects as your experience develops.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing corporation tax computations and returns
  • Managing compliance work across a varied portfolio of corporate clients
  • Supporting Managers and Partners with corporate tax advisory projects
  • Working with SMEs, owner-managed businesses, PE-backed companies and international groups
  • Liaising directly with clients and HMRC
  • Researching technical tax matters and assisting with more complex assignments
  • Taking increasing ownership of client relationships
  • Supporting and training more junior members of the team

What they're looking for

You'll ideally already have experience within corporate tax in an accountancy practice and could be ATT qualified, CTA part-qualified, newly qualified or working towards another relevant professional qualification.

They're also open-minded about background. If you're ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified with good exposure to corporation tax and want to specialise further, that could also work.

More than anything, they're looking for someone who wants to learn, develop technically and gradually take on more responsibility.

What's on offer

  • £45,000 to £55,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid and flexible working
  • Exposure to both compliance and advisory work
  • Varied and interesting corporate client base
  • Support towards further professional qualifications
  • Direct exposure to experienced Managers and Partners
  • Strong long-term progression opportunities within a growing tax team

If you're already working in corporate tax and feel ready for broader exposure, better progression and more involvement in advisory work, apply now for a confidential conversation.
