I'm currently working with a leading professional services organisation that is looking to appoint an Employment Tax Manager into its growing Reward & Employment Tax team
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established practice advising a diverse client base on employment tax compliance, governance and risk management matters. The role offers a mix of advisory, compliance and project-based work, providing exposure to both UK and international businesses.
Your new role:
- You'll advise clients on PAYE, National Insurance, payroll, expenses and benefits compliance.
- You'll manage year-end reporting requirements, including P11Ds, PSAs and other employment tax obligations.
- You'll support clients through HMRC enquiries and investigations, acting as a trusted adviser throughout the process.
- You'll provide advice on the tax and NIC treatment of non-cash remuneration arrangements.
- You'll advise on compliance matters relating to the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
- You'll work on employment tax due diligence assignments as part of corporate transactions and wider business projects.
- You'll help clients understand and respond to changes in legislation, including IR35.
- You'll support organisations in strengthening pay governance, controls and employment tax risk management frameworks.
- You'll collaborate with colleagues across tax and people advisory disciplines to deliver high-quality client outcomes.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Strong technical knowledge of UK employment tax legislation.
- CTA qualified, part-qualified or currently studying towards a recognised tax qualification.
- Experience advising on employment tax compliance and advisory matters.
- Good understanding of PAYE, NIC, benefits, expenses and employment tax reporting requirements.
- Exposure to HMRC enquiries, reviews or investigations would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of IR35, CIS and wider employment tax governance matters is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to a variety of stakeholders.
- A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in developing expertise across Reward and Employment Tax.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple client priorities effectively.
