Employment Tax Senior Manager - Top 10 Firm
£80,000-£95,000 | London | Hybrid Working | Advisory-Focused Role
Looking for more interesting advisory work, greater client ownership and the opportunity to make a real impact?
I'm working with a leading Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm that's looking to appoint an Employment Tax Senior Manager into its established Global Mobility and Employment Tax team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Employment Tax professional who enjoys complex technical advisory work, building strong client relationships and developing a team.
Importantly, this isn't a high-volume compliance role. You'll be joining a specialist advisory team where technical expertise, commercial advice and direct client interaction are central to the position.
The Opportunity
You'll work closely with experienced Partners and senior colleagues, advising a varied portfolio of clients across different industries on complex Employment Tax matters.
The role offers a strong mix of technical advisory, client relationship management and team leadership, with the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the Employment Tax offering.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading Employment Tax advisory assignments and providing practical, commercially focused advice.
- Managing relationships with key clients and acting as their main point of contact.
- Overseeing Employment Tax compliance matters where required, while maintaining a strong advisory focus.
- Researching complex technical issues and delivering clear, commercially relevant recommendations.
- Working closely with Partners and colleagues across the wider tax practice.
- Reviewing work and providing technical guidance to junior team members.
- Mentoring and developing colleagues, helping to build the team's technical capability.
- Identifying opportunities to support existing clients and contribute to the continued growth of the service line.
About You
We're keen to speak to established Employment Tax Senior Managers, as well as strong Managers who are ready to take the next step.
Ideally, you'll have:
- CTA qualification.
- At least five years' Employment Tax experience within accountancy practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK Employment Tax, with a particular interest in advisory work.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering complex technical advice.
- The confidence to work directly with senior client stakeholders.
- Experience reviewing work, supporting colleagues and developing junior team members.
- A collaborative approach and an interest in contributing to the wider success of the team.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
Advisory-led work: Focus on complex Employment Tax matters rather than operating within a high-volume compliance environment.
Client ownership: Build meaningful relationships with clients and take responsibility for delivering commercially focused advice.
Direct Partner exposure: Work closely with experienced senior professionals and have a visible role within the team.
Leadership and influence: Develop junior colleagues, contribute ideas and help shape the continued growth of the Employment Tax offering.
Career development: Join an established Top 10 practice offering opportunities for long-term progression.
Flexible working: Benefit from hybrid working within a collaborative, people-focused team.
Salary & Benefits
- £80,000-£95,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid and flexible working.
- Comprehensive benefits package.
- Professional development and career progression opportunities.
- Collaborative team environment with direct access to senior leadership.
