Finance Manager

Finance Manager | £35.00 p/hr - Umbrella Co. | Temp | Staffordshire | 3-months

For a large services company focusing on water, waste, and energy management, we are recruiting an interim Finance Manager for at least 3-months. Reporting to the Finance Director and starting immediately, the Finance Manager will partner with budget holders to oversee the accounting for high-profile heating network projects. The interim Finance Manager will lead management accounting and statutory reporting processes and will manage one direct report.

Main Duties:

• Preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts
• Monthly management accounts production and analysis
• Management of Government Grants associated with the project including ensuring proper accounting treatment and compliance with Grant funding requirements
• Statutory accounting and Group reporting for two entities
• Business Partnering with Project teams and their budget holders
• Liaison with external Auditors
• Management and support of x 1 Finance Assistant

Person Specification:

• Full or part-qualified ACCA, ACCA or CIMA
• Management Accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience
• Ideally experience with grant funding arrangements and reporting
• Non-profit, government, or utilities experience
• Strong experience of accounting systems and ledgers
• Strong experience of MS Excel and Sage
• Ability to start immediately and work independently and proactively
