A forward-thinking and ambitious accountancy firm is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Manager to join its growing Financial Services team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional who specialises in investment funds and is keen to progress toward RI status in the future.

The firm has a modern, collaborative culture and a strong presence within the Financial Services sector. With continued growth in the funds space, they are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware manager who is ready to take ownership of a portfolio and develop into a senior leadership role.

What you will be doing as a Financial Services Audit Manager:

  • Manage a portfolio of Financial Services clients, with a focus on investment funds (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and similar structures)
  • Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion
  • Review statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant reporting frameworks
  • Oversee on-site and remote audit teams
  • Act as the primary contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships
  • Liaise with partners on technical matters and client strategy
  • Coach, mentor and develop junior members of the team
  • Play an active role in business development and growth initiatives within the FS sector

What you will need to succeed as a Financial Services Audit Manager:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong external audit background within Financial Services
  • Demonstrable experience auditing investment funds
  • Solid knowledge of UK GAAP / IFRS (fund reporting experience highly desirable)
  • Confident managing client relationships and leading audit teams
  • Commercially aware with strong organisational skills
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress toward Responsible Individual status
