A leading UK professional services firm is investing heavily in the growth of its Financial Services Tax practice and is seeking to appoint a Partner (or Director ready to step up) to support the next phase of expansion.

Financial Services has been identified as a key strategic priority for the firm, with significant investment committed by leadership to build market share across banking, fintech and insurance. As part of this initiative, the firm is looking to bring in an externally-facing leader who can introduce fresh perspective, deepen market relationships and help scale the practice.

The Opportunity

You will join an established Financial Services tax team of over 100 professionals across the wider group, working closely with partners across tax, transactions and advisory. The practice already has strong capability across several FS verticals, with banking and insurance identified as the primary growth areas for the next phase.

The team includes specialists across corporate tax, transfer pricing and VAT, alongside a well-developed asset management capability. The insurance offering has recently strengthened through internal promotions and specialist hires, and the firm is now keen to add a market-facing leader who can broaden the offering and help drive further growth.

This role offers genuine opportunity to shape the direction of the practice, working closely with leadership to expand client relationships and build a stronger presence across the FS market.

What the firm is looking for

The firm is interested in speaking with individuals who:

• Are currently Partner, Associate Partner or Director within a professional services firm

• Have Financial Services tax expertise, ideally across banking, fintech and/or insurance

• Bring strong market relationships and a demonstrable ability to generate work

• Are entrepreneurial, collaborative and motivated to help grow a practice

• Are either operating at Partner level already or ready to step up into a Partner role

The firm is particularly keen to meet individuals who are client-facing and relationship-led, rather than purely transaction-focused, with the ability to expand and deepen client relationships across the FS sector.
