Forensic Accountant - Banbury - £40,000 to £45,000

Imagine walking into work knowing that what you uncover today could change the outcome of a legal case, protect a business, or bring hidden truths to light. That's the reality of life as a Forensic Accountant - and it could be your next move.

No two days look the same. One week you'll be valuing a multi-million pound business, the next you'll be tracing assets and preparing evidence that may be presented in court. Instead of repetitive compliance, you'll be solving puzzles, uncovering patterns, and applying your skills in a way that keeps you engaged and constantly learning.

What you'll be doing as a Forensic Accountant

  • Uncovering discrepancies, fraud, or misconduct hidden within financial records
  • Creating and refining valuation models that shape critical decisions
  • Quantifying losses and damages in disputes and insurance claims
  • Presenting evidence and expert findings that stand up in legal proceedings
  • Working side-by-side with the Director, gaining direct exposure and mentoring from day one

Who we're looking for

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • At least 2 years' practice experience in accounts preparation
  • Curious, analytical and confident enough to question what doesn't add up
  • Someone who communicates with clarity and builds trust quickly
  • Experience with valuations, disputes or investigations is a bonus, but not essential

Why this move matters

Think about where your career could be in two years. Still stuck preparing the same sets of accounts? Or developing rare, highly sought-after expertise that sets you apart in the market? By stepping into forensic accounting now, you'll be positioning yourself for a future where your work is more influential, more respected, and more rewarding.

The package

  • £40,000 - £45,000
  • Hybrid working options after your initial settling-in period
  • Genuine progression routes into senior forensic roles
  • Hands-on exposure to varied, challenging, and often high-stakes assignments
  • A supportive, collaborative team culture that values creativity and progression

If you've ever wanted a career where your analysis truly matters - where every case tells a different story - this Forensic Accountant role in Banbury is the opportunity to make that shift.
