Group Tax Manager - FTSE

£65,000 - £85,000

We are partnering with a global FTSE who are looking to recruit a Group Tax Manager to join its expanding team. Reporting to the global head of tax & treasury you will be taking full ownership for the UK group affairs as well as providing ongoing advisory with for M&A activity, VAT compliance and advisory as well as building key relationships with key stakeholders (both UK & globally) & HMRC.

Some key responsibility will be:-

  • Effectively maintaining best in class tax governance for the UK Plc
  • Corporation tax compliance, quarterly tax accounting and statutory accounts tax disclosures.
  • Preparation and submission of R&D tax credit claims
  • Ad hoc tax advice including due diligence for trade & asset/share acquisitions and investments.
  • International tax advice on a wide range of aspects including permanent establishments, incorporation overseas.
  • Developing tax awareness training program & rolling out to the business
  • Identifying and implementation tax saving strategies
  • Assisting with bids to ensure that all areas of tax have been considered and costed.
  • VAT compliance & advice including registration, option to tax and monthly and quarterly VAT returns
  • Overseeing the development and improvement of internal processes & controls
  • Employment tax compliance and advice.
  • Maintaining good & open relationship with HMRC and dealing with their queries on a timely basis

The ideal candidate will be ACA/CTA (or possibly ACCA) qualified, with a proven track record working for Top 20 accounting practice with some post qualified experience, who has a bright, outgoing and inquisitive personality who enjoys developing relationships.
