In-House Tax Transformation, Governance & Reporting Manager
£80,000 - £90,000 + remote working model and strong work-life balance offering
A large and acquisitive financial services business is adding to their fully remote UK tax team.
Reporting to the International Tax Lead, the purpose of this role is to support with international tax reporting and play a leading role in driving tax technology, transformation and governance.
This is a highly visible position which involves collaborating with multi-jurisdictional and cross-functional teams, alongside external advisers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the ongoing implementation, testing and enhancement of Pillar Two reporting solutions, while driving process improvements and developing more efficient reporting frameworks.
- Preparing and coordinating the Group's Country-by-Country Reporting obligations and work with local advisers on public CbCR filings in relevant jurisdictions.
- Analyse jurisdictional tax positions for Pillar Two and transitional CbCR safe harbour purposes.
- Support the planning and execution of the international tax reporting cycle, including testing reporting templates and coordinating the collection of data from global stakeholders.
- Review tax provisioning calculations for international entities and liaise with local finance teams to ensure tax positions are accurately reflected in financial reporting.
- Act as a key point of contact for local finance teams, providing guidance on tax reporting requirements and explaining complex technical issues to non-tax stakeholders.
- Assist with group-level tax reporting adjustments, including deferred tax, uncertain tax positions and other IFRS tax accounting matters.
- Support the external audit process by responding to tax-related queries and coordinating information requests.
- Contribute to the enhancement of internal controls, tax governance processes, reporting manuals and training materials.
The successful candidate
- An experienced tax manager with a transformation and governance background with exposure to international tax matters such as CbCR and Pillar II.
- While prior experience in a hands-on, technical tax reporting role is considered advantageous, this is not a pre-requisite (those with ACA backgrounds will likely bring a sufficient conceptualisation for tax reporting, to be developed upon further)
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills
- Must have the right to work permanently in the UK, without sponsorship requirements
