Indirect Tax Advisory Manager

Location: Birmingham| Hybrid Working

Are you an experienced Indirect Tax professional looking to take the lead on complex advisory work while building lasting client relationships?

A leading professional services firm is looking to appoint an Indirect Tax Advisory Manager to join its growing team. Working with a varied portfolio of UK and international clients, you'll deliver strategic VAT advice, lead on high-profile projects and play an active role in developing both clients and the wider team.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering bespoke UK and international VAT advisory services to a diverse client base.
• Leading on complex projects including transactions, restructures, property VAT and cross-border trade.
• Advising clients on managing VAT risk and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies.
• Managing HMRC enquiries and resolving technical VAT issues.
• Building and developing strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
• Coaching and developing junior team members while reviewing their work.
• Supporting business development through networking, proposals and identifying opportunities for growth.

About You

You'll ideally have:

• ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong Indirect Tax advisory experience gained within practice or industry.
• Excellent UK VAT technical knowledge with the ability to provide practical, commercial advice.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering advisory projects.
• Strong communication, leadership and business development skills.
