International Tax Director - Big 4
Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Reading
Are you an experienced International Tax professional, ready for a Big 4 Director opportunity working with some of the largest and most complex multinational businesses?
I am proud to be supporting a Big 4 client looking for an International Tax Director to join a high-performing and growing team. This is a pure advisory role, with no compliance or audit-assist work, offering the opportunity to lead complex engagements, shape international tax strategy and drive business growth.
You'll work across a broad portfolio of multinational clients (including globally recognised brands), collaborating with specialists across International Tax, Transfer Pricing and Deals to deliver joined-up advice.
Your work will include:
- International tax structuring and optimisation
- Business reorganisations and operating model redesign
- Pre/post-transaction restructuring and refinancing
- Global tax developments, including BEPS 2.0 / Pillar Two
- Tax risk management and tax authority enquiries
- Leading complex, multi-jurisdictional engagements
- Providing strategic and technical advice to senior stakeholders
What we're looking for:
An existing International Tax Director, looking to move into the Big 4 and work on market leading clients.
OR An established Senior Manager, already working in a Big 4 firm, ready for Director step up (but potentially narrowly missed out on promotion!)
Ideally, you'll bring:
- ACA, CTA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualification
- Strong corporate tax and accounting knowledge
- Significant International Tax advisory experience, ideally within a Big Four or equivalent environment
- Strong knowledge of international tax structuring and multi-jurisdictional tax matters
- Excellent commercial, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proven ability to develop client relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Experience leading, coaching and developing teams
- Pillar Two / BEPS 2.0 experience is highly desirable
Why this role?
Join an ambitious and well-established advisory team with an excellent calibre of multinational clients across a diverse range of sectors. You'll gain significant exposure to senior stakeholders and complex, high-value advisory work, with the autonomy and commercial responsibility expected at Director level. The role also offers a strong hybrid working model, with around 4 days in the office per 10 working days, alongside a collaborative and supportive team environment.
