We are currently working with a leading international tax team in Manchester who are looking to bring in a seasoned international tax director to support their development across the North.

Role responsibilities:

• Managed a diverse portfolio of international businesses, delivering specialist tax advice across areas such as corporate structuring, financing arrangements, organisational redesigns, transaction-related tax planning, and stakeholder support on complex tax matters.
• Built and maintained strong relationships with key decision-makers, identifying commercial opportunities and creating pathways to engage both existing clients and prospective organisations.
• Advised businesses on international tax frameworks, cross-border operating structures, corporate transformation projects, and the impact of evolving global tax regulations.
• Translated complex technical tax concepts into clear, practical recommendations for a variety of audiences, while maintaining a strong understanding of overseas tax considerations affecting multinational groups.
• Directed multiple high-value assignments simultaneously, ensuring effective collaboration between multidisciplinary teams across different jurisdictions and service lines.
• Contributed to the development of business strategies by aligning tax solutions with changing market conditions, regulatory developments, and client objectives.
• Promoted robust governance and risk management practices, ensuring tax engagements were delivered in accordance with established compliance standards and internal policies.

What you'll need to be successful:

• ACA, CTA, ACCA, ADIT qualified
• Track record of working in international tax advisory
• Technical expertise in corporate tax, international structuring & tax risk
• Previous experience working in a well established professional services firm
• Proven experience managing complex engagements, teams and contributing to market facing activities.
