Join a leading Deals Tax team advising on UK and international tax planning and deal support across a range of real asset classes and credit facilities. You'll work with some of the world's most sophisticated investors - including US and Canadian inbound funds, private equity houses, and Sovereign Wealth Funds - many of whom have been long-standing clients for over a decade. Transaction values typically range between £10 million and £1 billion (AUM).
In this role, you will:
- Provide tax planning and structuring advice throughout the investment lifecycle, covering development, acquisition, holding, refinancing, restructuring, and disposal.
- Support clients in the launch of new funds, ensuring optimal tax efficiency, investor satisfaction, and minimal administrative burden across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conduct due diligence and structuring analysis, advising on key issues such as direct taxes, trading vs investment status, and non-residence considerations, while overseeing related areas including transfer pricing, VAT, stamp duty, CIS, employment, and overseas tax.
- Lead the preparation of RFPs and client tenders, including a major proposal for a Sovereign Wealth Fund across UK and US tax and accounting services.
- Successfully pitch to clients on global tax compliance coordination, generating over £1 million in annual revenues, and implement innovative engagement processes using proprietary data analytics software.
- Draft and refine tax technical analyses, creating consistent, client-friendly reporting standards across the team - balancing accessibility for non-tax specialists with the rigour required for legal and insurer review.
- Act as the in-team expert on entity structures and their treatment under complex UK tax legislation, including the transition of non-resident property companies into the corporation tax regime.
- Utilise Excel for advanced financial modelling, fund flow analysis, and group financing schedules, ensuring data clarity and accuracy.
- Uphold high standards of risk management, project governance, and budget control to maintain operational excellence.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven tax professional who thrives on complex transactions, enjoys client interaction at the highest level, and wants to play a key role in shaping strategic tax solutions for global investors. To apply contact John at john.corfield@pro-tax.co.uk
