Audit Manager (Not-for-Profit) - Birmingham - Up to £65,000 + £4,500 car allowance

  • Do you want to work with clients who have a real social impact?
  • Would you enjoy leading meaningful audit projects while developing a high-performing team?
  • Are you ready for a role where you're trusted, valued, and supported to progress?

If that sounds like you, this could be your next step.

What's great about this Audit Manager role?

Here are four things candidates consistently care about:

  • Purpose-driven work with organisations that matter - You'll work with charities, academies, grant-makers, international NGOs, and other Not-for-Profit bodies - many household names making a genuine difference.
  • A supportive, experienced team - You'll join a highly respected specialist NFP audit team known for being collaborative, welcoming, and generous with knowledge sharing.
  • Real progression - This is a growing practice with clear pathways into Senior Manager and Director roles - you won't be waiting years for opportunities.
  • A culture that values people as much as technical quality - Inclusive, flexible, and genuinely people-first. You're trusted to work in a way that supports both clients and your well-being.

Your role as Audit Manager

You'll lead and develop audit teams, support a diverse NFP portfolio, and be a trusted contact for clients throughout the year. You'll play a key part in shaping and improving how the team delivers its work - not just completing files, but elevating the client experience.

An average day may include:

  • Catching up with your audit teams on progress and next steps
  • Speaking with charity finance leaders, trustees, or CEOs
  • Reviewing key audit areas and coaching juniors
  • Preparing insights for audit committees
  • Working with Partners on developing new client relationships

This role sits at the heart of a well-established NFP team where your voice, ideas, and leadership will have an impact from day one.

What you'll need to succeed

Beyond your ACA/ACCA qualification and audit experience, you'll thrive here if you are:

  • Purpose-driven, with an interest in charities and the wider impact sector
  • A clear communicator who builds trust easily with clients
