A leading Top 10 accountancy firm is seeking an experienced OMB Tax Director to lead its tax advisory offering in Shrewsbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded tax professional to take ownership of complex client engagements, develop key relationships and drive sustainable business growth.

The successful candidate will play a strategic role in developing the team, expanding the client portfolio and contributing to the wider success of the firm.

About the Role

• Lead complex tax compliance and ad-hoc advisory assignments, taking responsibility for technical approach, risk management, fees and delivery against agreed budgets and deadlines.
• Build and strengthen client relationships, manage significant client portfolios and identify opportunities to grow existing accounts, win new business and introduce additional services.
• Provide strategic leadership to the team, mentoring senior colleagues, supporting managers with performance and development, and overseeing resource planning across assignments.
• Drive departmental growth and operational improvement by identifying cross-selling opportunities, embracing digital transformation, improving processes and contributing to wider business strategy.
