We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice that is looking for an experienced Outsourcing Semi Senior to join its team in Borehamwood. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong practice experience who enjoys working closely with clients and supporting them with accurate financial reporting and business advisory services.

As a Bookkeeper / Management Accountant, you'll play a key part in supporting the Business Services department. You'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing management accounts, and ensuring compliance across a range of clients.

What you will be doing as an Outsourcing Semi Senior

• Preparation of management accounts
• Preparation and submission of VAT Returns and CIS Returns
• Sales and Purchase Ledger processing
• Managing prepayments & accruals
• Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
• Finalising bookkeeping to Trial Balance level
• Providing app advisory services, including Xero training and support for clients
• Reviewing and supporting outsourced staff (desirable)

What you will need to succeed as an Outsourcing Semi Senior

• Degree in Accounting/Finance (or relevant qualification such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA - part or fully qualified)
• Proven experience working within an accountancy practice environment
• Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT returns, accruals, prepayments, and management accounts
• Proficiency with accounting software (Xero, Sage, IRIS, and related apps), plus strong MS Office skills
• Excellent analytical ability with great attention to detail
• Strong IT skills and adaptability with new software
• Organised, able to manage workload, and meet deadlines under pressure
