Pro Tax is working with a growing and well-established accountancy practice that is looking to add a Personal Tax Assistant / Personal Tax Semi-Senior to its expanding tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a tax or accountancy environment who is looking to build a long-term career in personal tax. You'll gain exposure to a broad client portfolio, work closely with experienced tax professionals and receive ongoing support towards your professional development.
Whether you're already studying towards ATT or are AAT qualified, this role offers an excellent platform to develop your career in personal tax.
The Opportunity
Joining a friendly and collaborative tax team, you'll support the delivery of personal tax compliance services while developing your technical expertise and client management skills.
As you develop within the role, you'll take on increasing responsibility, including managing your own client portfolio and supporting a wider range of tax advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing personal tax returns for a diverse range of clients
- Gathering, reviewing and processing client information
- Liaising with clients to obtain outstanding records and resolve queries
- Assisting senior tax professionals with compliance and advisory assignments
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring deadlines are met
- Developing your technical tax knowledge through practical experience and professional studies
- Progressively taking ownership of your own client portfolio
About You
Essential
- Experience within a tax or accountancy environment
- Exposure to personal tax compliance work
- Ability to work full-time from the Hitchin office
Desirable
- ATT part-qualified or qualified
- AAT qualified
