Private Client Tax Manager - Family Office
£70,000-£85,000 | Top 10 Firm | Central London | Hybrid Working
Looking to develop your expertise in Family Office, trusts and complex private client advisory?
I'm working with a leading Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm that's looking for a Private Client Tax Manager to join its growing Family Office and Private Client team in Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with HNW individuals and families but would like greater exposure to trusts, estates and more complex advisory matters.
You'll be joining an established, partner-led team, working closely with experienced senior colleagues and advising a high-quality portfolio of private clients.
Importantly, you don't need to come from a dedicated Family Office practice. A strong Private Client Tax background, some trusts exposure and a genuine interest in developing your technical expertise could make you an excellent fit.
The Opportunity
You'll work with HNW and UHNW individuals, families, trusts and estates, providing a broad mix of tax compliance, advisory and client relationship management.
The role offers the opportunity to develop your technical expertise while taking ownership of client relationships and supporting more complex planning work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of HNW and UHNW private clients, including families, trusts and estates.
- Overseeing personal tax compliance and providing technical advice on more complex matters.
- Supporting trust and estate planning projects alongside experienced Partners and senior colleagues.
- Building long-term relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Identifying advisory opportunities and working collaboratively with other specialist teams.
- Managing portfolio performance, including billing and WIP.
- Reviewing work and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
About You
We're keen to speak to established Private Client Tax Managers who are looking to develop their advisory experience and take the next step in their careers.
Ideally, you'll have:
- ACA and/or CTA qualification.
- A strong background in UK Private Client Tax within accountancy practice.
- Some exposure to trusts, with estates experience particularly welcome.
- Experience managing client relationships and overseeing compliance work.
- An interest in more complex tax advisory and wealth planning matters.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
You don't need to be a Family Office specialist already. What's important is a solid technical foundation and an interest in developing your experience in this area.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
Specialist Family Office exposure: Work with HNW and UHNW individuals, families, trusts and estates, developing expertise in a highly sought-after area of Private Client Tax.
More advisory work: Build your experience across complex private client matters, trust and estate planning, working closely with experienced Partners.
Career progression: Join an expanding team with a defined development framework and opportunities to progress towards Senior Manager.
Top 10 resources, partner-led approach: Benefit from the technical support and infrastructure of a leading firm while maintaining close relationships with senior colleagues and clients.
Flexible working: Enjoy hybrid working and a culture that supports long-term career development.
Salary & Benefits
- £70,000-£85,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid and flexible working.
- 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Private medical insurance, subject to eligibility.
- Life assurance.
- Financial coaching and mortgage advice.
- Pension and additional lifestyle benefits.
- Ongoing professional development and structured career progression.
