The Opportunity

A well-established Top 30 advisory and accounting firm (120+ employees) in the City of London is recruiting a driven Personal Tax Senior to join its expanding Private Client Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking strong technical exposure, career development, and a genuinely supportive culture.

The Personal Tax Senior Role

Manage your own portfolio of approximately 50-100 clients, ranging from high-net-worth individuals to sole traders and partnerships. This is a hands-on role with genuine client ownership and exposure to partners on advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality personal tax returns across your own portfolio and assist on more complex cases
  • Produce clear, accurate correspondence for clients, HMRC, and third parties
  • Manage PAYE coding issues, NI deferments, and core compliance tasks
  • Take a lead role in MTD work, ensuring quarterly submissions are completed accurately and on time
  • Communicate confidently with clients, keeping managers and partners fully updated
  • Identify tax planning and value-add opportunities within your portfolio
  • Support partners on tax planning and consultancy projects
  • Handle billing and portfolio administration efficiently

What You'll Need

  • Around 2 years' personal tax compliance experience within practice
  • ATT qualified (preferred) or part-qualified/studying
  • Experience with CCH Personal Tax (advantageous)
  • Strong communication skills and proactive, client-focused approach
  • Ready to take ownership of your own client portfolio

Full study support provided for ATT, and CTA after probation.
