Private Client Tax Senior Manager - Trust & Family Office

Top 10 Firm | £85,000 - £98,000 + Benefits | London | Hybrid

Are you looking for a Senior Manager opportunity that offers genuine technical trust work, international exposure and a clear route to Director?

A highly regarded Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm is seeking a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join its specialist Trust & Family Office team.

This is an opportunity to work alongside recognised experts advising trusts, family offices, high-net-worth families and international wealth structures, with exposure to some of the most technically challenging private client work in the market.

The team is a recognised specialist practice, combining deep trust expertise with a collaborative culture that places a strong emphasis on knowledge sharing, mentoring and long-term career development.

The Opportunity

As a Private Client Tax Senior Manager, you'll take ownership of a high-quality portfolio of trust and private client relationships while advising on sophisticated UK and international planning matters.

Working closely with Partners and Directors, you'll gain exposure to complex trust structures, succession planning, inheritance tax, family office matters and cross-border wealth planning, whilst playing a key role in developing the next generation of trust specialists.

At Senior Manager level, the role becomes increasingly advisory-focused, with significant involvement in strategic and technically challenging client assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of trusts, family offices and private clients
  • Advising trustees, beneficiaries and wealthy families on complex tax matters
  • Leading on trust, estate and succession planning assignments
  • Delivering a blend of compliance and advisory work with a strong advisory focus
  • Working on UK and international trust structures
  • Reviewing technical work and ensuring exceptional client service
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Working closely with Partners on complex planning projects and client relationships

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Join one of London's leading Trust & Family Office teams
  • Significant exposure to international and offshore trust structures
  • Approximately 50% UK and 50% international trust work
  • Strong advisory focus at Senior Manager level
  • Opportunity to work on highly technical trust and estate planning matters
  • Direct access to experienced Trust & Family Office Partners
  • Collaborative culture focused on learning, development and team success
  • Clear progression pathway to Director
  • High-quality client base including family offices, trustees and UHNW families
  • Business development is Partner-led, allowing greater focus on technical delivery and client relationships

Culture & Development

This is a close-knit specialist team with an excellent reputation for developing trust professionals.

The firm has a strong track record of promoting from within and provides structured progression through regular development reviews, mentoring and leadership support. The culture is notably collaborative, with trust specialists working closely alongside private wealth, entrepreneurial and international tax teams to deliver joined-up advice to clients.

Unlike many firms, success is driven by technical excellence, client service and collaboration rather than internal competition.

About You

You are likely to be:

  • CTA and/or ACA qualified
  • Operating at Manager or Senior Manager level
  • Experienced in trust taxation and trust administration
  • Comfortable managing relationships with trustees and private clients
  • Able to handle technically complex trust and estate matters
  • Looking to build a long-term career within a specialist trust practice

Experience of international trust structures, offshore trusts, inheritance tax and family office clients would be particularly advantageous.
