Private Client Tax Director - Build & Lead a Cambridge Team

The opportunity

Are you an experienced Private Client Tax professional looking for a role where you can genuinely make your mark?

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and help build out a Private Client team in Cambridge, working closely with Partners to grow the client base, develop the team and establish the firm's presence in the local market.

This isn't simply an opportunity to inherit an existing portfolio. You'll have the scope to shape the Cambridge offering, develop new business, strengthen client relationships and help build a high-performing team around you.

The role

You'll act as a trusted adviser to a portfolio of private clients, providing commercially focused advice across complex tax matters while taking responsibility for the delivery and quality of client engagements.

You'll also play a key role in:

• Growing the Cambridge Private Client practice and developing new opportunities.
• Building strong relationships with clients, lawyers, wealth managers and other professional advisers.
• Supporting Partners with key client relationships, pitches and strategic initiatives.
• Providing technical leadership on complex Private Client Tax matters.
• Recruiting, coaching and developing the team as the practice grows.
• Representing the firm in the Cambridge market and strengthening its profile.

About you

We're looking for a CTA, ACA or similarly qualified Private Client Tax professional with significant post-qualified experience and a strong technical background.

You'll be a confident client relationship manager with commercial and business development skills, alongside experience of leading and developing people.

Most importantly, you'll be ambitious and entrepreneurial, with the appetite to build something rather than simply inherit it.
