A leading Top 50 independent accountancy and business advisory firm is looking to appoint an experienced Private Client Director to play a key role in the continued development and growth of its Private Client Advisory offering.

This is an excellent opportunity for an established private client tax professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business and delivering high-quality technical advisory work.

The successful individual will have the opportunity to leverage an established internal client base, developing relationships and identifying opportunities to provide specialist advice across inheritance tax, succession planning, trusts and wider private client matters.

About the Role

• Take a leading role in developing and growing the Private Client Advisory offering, identifying opportunities across the firm's existing client base and wider internal network.
• Build and develop strong relationships with privately owned, family-owned and owner-managed businesses, their shareholders and families, identifying opportunities to deliver proactive and commercially focused tax advice.
• Lead on complex private client advisory matters, including inheritance tax (IHT) planning, succession planning, trusts, estate planning, partnership matters and wider personal tax planning.
• Work closely with colleagues across Corporate Tax, Audit, Business Advisory and Private Client Compliance to identify opportunities, generate referrals and deliver a joined-up service to clients.

• A leading Top 50 independent accountancy and business advisory firm with a strong presence across the North of England and Scotland, supporting a diverse range of privately owned, family-owned and owner-managed businesses.
• The firm has a particularly strong client base within the privately owned and owner-managed business market, alongside private equity-backed businesses, not-for-profit organisations and international businesses.
• Its Private Client function is well established, with a dedicated Advisory team of approximately 10 specialists, operating separately from a substantial Private Client Compliance team of around 45-50 professionals.
• The wider tax function comprises a number of specialist service lines, including Corporate Tax, Employment Tax, VAT and Private Client, allowing teams to collaborate and provide clients with a comprehensive range of technical and advisory services.
