I am currently partnering with a Top 10 accountancy and advisory practice to support the appointment of a Private Client Tax Director within their market-leading Private Wealth team in London.
This is a premier opportunity for an established senior private client specialist seeking high visibility, client ownership, and a structured, transparent pathway to Partnership within a partner-led, people-focused firm.
The Opportunity
As Private Client Tax Director, you will play a central role in driving the strategic expansion of the Private Wealth division. Working alongside the Partner group, you will hold direct responsibility for a high-value portfolio while leading complex advisory engagements for complex domestic and international clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Advisory: Deliver high-level advisory services to HNW/UHNW individuals, family offices, private business owners, and non-domiciled clients on complex UK and international tax matters.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee and grow a high-profile client portfolio, acting as the primary trusted advisor.
- Business Development: Lead business development initiatives, leveraging internal networks and external professional channels to win new client work.
- Team Leadership: Provide technical leadership, coaching, and line management to a team of Managers and Senior Managers.
- Practice Growth: Contribute directly to the practice group's strategic direction, service innovation, and commercial growth.

About You
- Qualifications: CTA qualified (or equivalent professional qualification such as STEP, ACA, or Legal qualifications).
- Experience: Currently operating as a Director, or an ambitious Senior Manager with a proven track record ready for a step up.
- Technical Expertise: Extensive experience delivering bespoke private client tax advisory services within a reputable UK accountancy or legal practice.
- Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated capability in business development, network building, and client relationship management.
- Leadership: Strong people management skills with a commitment to mentoring junior and mid-level talent.
