Private Client Tax Manager - Owner-Managed Business
£80,000 + Excellent Benefits | London | Hybrid Working
Advise entrepreneurs. Build trusted relationships. Take the next step in your leadership career.
Working with business owners means understanding how their personal wealth, business ambitions and family priorities connect. This opportunity puts you at the heart of those conversations.
A growing accountancy firm is looking for a Private Client Tax Manager to join its expanding team, advising owner-managed businesses and their shareholders. With continued growth and recent acquisitions, the firm offers an excellent opportunity to broaden your advisory experience, build lasting client relationships and contribute to the development of its private client offering.
You will manage a varied portfolio of entrepreneurial clients, combining oversight of personal tax compliance with proactive, commercially focused advice on the decisions that matter most to them.
The role
As a trusted adviser to your clients, you will identify planning opportunities and deliver clear, commercially relevant solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing client relationships and overseeing personal tax compliance.
- Advising on the interaction between business and personal taxation, including tax-efficient profit extraction.
- Supporting clients with employee incentives, tax-advantaged share schemes and EIS matters.
- Advising on succession planning, wealth structuring and family business governance.
- Collaborating with corporate tax, audit and external advisers to deliver coordinated, holistic advice.
- Reviewing work, mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the team's commercial success.
About you
You will be ACA or CTA qualified, with strong UK personal tax knowledge and substantial mixed tax experience, particularly working with high-net-worth individuals and owner-managed businesses.
You will be confident managing client relationships, identifying advisory opportunities and explaining complex tax matters in a clear, accessible way. You will enjoy working closely with entrepreneurs and helping them make informed decisions about their businesses, wealth and long-term plans.
Experience in trusts and estates would be advantageous.
Why consider this opportunity?
With a salary of £80,000 plus excellent benefits, hybrid working and exposure to a diverse range of advisory matters, this role offers the chance to work closely with entrepreneurial clients while developing your technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
Joining an expanding practice also provides the opportunity to play a meaningful role in the continued growth of its private client offering and progress your career in a supportive, commercially focused environment.
