Private Client Tax Manager / Senior Manager

St Albans | Hybrid Working (3 days office / 2 days home)

Pro Tax is delighted to be partnering with a growing and highly regarded accountancy practice seeking a Private Client Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its established tax team.

The Role

You will manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, trusts, family investment companies (FICs), sole traders and partnerships, while working closely with partners on a range of compliance and advisory projects.
Responsibilities include:

  • Managing private client tax compliance for a diverse portfolio.
  • Reviewing self-assessment tax returns and overseeing filing deadlines.
  • Advising on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax matters.
  • Supporting advisory projects including estate planning, trusts, residency and succession planning.
  • Liaising with HMRC on enquiries and disclosures.
  • Attending client meetings and identifying planning opportunities.
  • Managing budgets, billing and client relationships.
  • Supporting and developing junior team members.

About You

Essential

  • CTA qualified.
  • Strong private client tax experience gained within practice.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of Income Tax, CGT and Inheritance Tax.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.

Experience Required

  • Manager: CTA qualified with 2+ years' private client tax experience.
  • Senior Manager: CTA qualified with 5+ years' private client tax experience.
