Private Client Tax Senior - £50k - Accountancy Practice

Are you an experienced Private Client Tax Senior who enjoys owning client relationships rather than simply preparing tax returns?

An established accountancy practice is looking for a Private Client Tax Senior to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including HNW individuals, landlords, directors, sole traders and investors.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, direct client contact and being trusted to manage their own portfolio from start to finish.

The Role

You'll take ownership of a personal tax portfolio and:

• Manage the full Self-Assessment cycle and associated deadlines
• Prepare and review personal, partnership and trust tax returns
• Handle CGT, property, foreign income and investment matters
• Prepare P11Ds and PSAs
• Deal directly with HMRC correspondence and enquiries
• Advise clients on tax liabilities, payments on account, allowances and reliefs
• Assist with residency, capital gains and potentially IHT planning
• Build strong, long-term relationships as a key client contact
• Work closely with Partners and the wider accounts team
• Support junior colleagues where appropriate

About You

You'll have strong personal tax experience within a UK accountancy practice and be confident managing your own client portfolio.

ATT or CTA qualification would be advantageous, although experienced QBE candidates are equally welcome.

You'll be technically capable, approachable and comfortable explaining tax matters clearly to clients.

Experience with TaxCalc would be useful but isn't essential.

Salary: £50,000 + benefits
