An ambitious and highly regarded mid-tier accountancy firm is looking to appoint an experienced Audit Manager or Senior Manager to join its market-leading Not-for-Profit team.

What you will be doing as a Senior Audit Manager

Working closely with Partners and the wider leadership team, you will take responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients, delivering both audit and advisory services.

You will lead engagements from planning through to completion, acting as the main point of contact for clients whilst ensuring exceptional service delivery, technical quality and regulatory compliance.

Alongside managing client relationships, you'll play an active role in developing the team, supporting business development initiatives and identifying opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of charity and not-for-profit audit clients.
  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Build trusted client relationships, providing technical and commercial advice.
  • Advise clients on accounting matters, governance, controls and wider regulatory issues.
  • Support business development through networking, tenders and identifying opportunities within existing clients.
  • Mentor and develop Audit Seniors and trainees.
  • Keep up to date with developments affecting the charity sector, including the Charities SORP and regulatory changes.
  • Contribute to recruitment, training and wider firm initiatives.


What you will need to succeed as a Senior Audit Manager

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • A strong audit background within practice.
  • Previous experience auditing charities and not-for-profit organisations.
  • Good working knowledge of the Charities SORP together with VAT and tax issues affecting the sector.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to manage and develop junior team members.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
