Pro Tax is working with a growing and well-established accountancy practice seeking a Personal Tax Assistant or Personal Tax Semi-Senior to join its expanding tax team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in a tax or accountancy environment who is looking to develop a long-term career within personal tax. You'll gain exposure to a varied client portfolio, work closely with experienced tax professionals and benefit from a genuinely supportive environment that encourages professional growth.
If you're already studying towards ATT or AAT qualfied, this role offers an excellent foundation for your future career.
The Opportunity
Joining a collaborative and friendly tax team, you'll support the delivery of personal tax compliance services while developing your technical expertise and client management skills.
As your confidence and experience grow, you'll be given increasing responsibility, including the opportunity to manage your own portfolio of clients and broaden your exposure to advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing personal tax returns for a diverse range of clients
- Gathering, reviewing and processing client information
- Liaising with clients to obtain outstanding records and resolve queries
- Assisting senior tax professionals with compliance and advisory assignments
- Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring deadlines are met
- Developing technical tax knowledge through practical experience and professional studies
- Progressively taking ownership of your own client portfolio
About You
Essential
- Experience within a tax or accountancy environment
- Confident communication skills and a professional approach to client service
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work full-time from the office
- Exposure to personal tax compliance work
Desirable
- ATT part-qualified or qualified
