The Opportunity

A leading Top 10 advisory firm is looking to appoint an OMB Tax Director to take on a key leadership role within their Shrewsbury office. This is a high-impact position with real influencing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses while helping drive growth across Shropshire, North Wales, and into the North West.

The Role

This is a broad, senior role combining technical expertise with strategic leadership. You'll act as a trusted advisor to OMB clients on complex tax matters, while playing a central role in business development and cross-office collaboration.

Internally, you'll lead from the front developing senior talent, embedding best practice, and helping shape the future direction of the tax offering.

What You'll Be Doing

Leading on complex private client tax advisory and compliance work
Building and managing long-term relationships with high-value clients
Driving business development and expanding a profitable client portfolio
Providing leadership, direction, and mentorship to senior team members
Contributing to wider business strategy and operational improvements
Identifying opportunities to enhance and grow the service offering

About You

Currently operating at Senior Manager or Director level in private client tax
Strong experience advising high-net-worth individuals
Proven track record of winning and developing business
Commercially minded with strong strategic awareness
A confident, credible leader who can influence at all levels
CTA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience)
