The Opportunity
This role offers responsibility for managing an established client portfolio while playing an important part in the continued growth of the tax advisory offering.
You'll work with a diverse range of clients and have the opportunity to increase your involvement in advisory projects, with the role capable of evolving towards a 50/50 split between compliance and advisory work for the right individual.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building trusted client relationships, providing practical tax advice and contributing to the future direction of a growing tax function.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing an established portfolio of tax clients valued at approximately £250,000
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships as a trusted adviser
- Delivering tax compliance work across multiple tax disciplines
- Advising clients on a range of planning and advisory matters
- Identifying opportunities to add value through proactive tax planning
- Supporting the continued development of the firm's advisory services
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver exceptional client service
- Contributing to the growth and success of the wider tax team
Client Portfolio
You will advise a varied client base including:
- High-net-worth individuals
- Non-UK resident individuals
- CIS contractors
- Sole traders
- Tradespeople and owner-managed businesses
About You
Essential Requirements
- CTA qualified, or working at an equivalent level
- Strong mixed tax background gained within practice
- Experience managing a client portfolio
- Comfortable meeting and advising clients directly
- Technical knowledge across a range of tax disciplines, including:
- Personal Tax
- Corporation Tax
- Inheritance Tax
- VAT
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, personable and client-focused approach

- Previous exposure to both compliance and advisory work
- An interest in developing specialist advisory expertise
- A commercial mindset and ability to identify planning opportunities
- Ambition to play a key role in the growth of a tax offering
