Tax Manager / Senior Manager - Entertainment & Media

£80,000-£90,000 + Bonus | London's West End | Associate Director Progression

Work with international artists, performers and entertainment businesses, with the opportunity to progress to Associate Director within 12 months.

I'm working with a leading international business management and financial advisory firm that's looking for a Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join its growing London team.

With an impressive client base spanning music, film, television, sport and the wider entertainment industry, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys complex tax advisory work and wants to build their career within a specialist, internationally connected business.

You'll advise HNW and UHNW individuals, internationally mobile clients, touring performers and creative businesses on a broad range of UK and cross-border tax matters.

You don't need previous Music & Entertainment experience. What's important is a strong background in Personal or Mixed Tax, particularly advising non-resident and non-dom clients, together with the confidence to manage complex advisory work.

For the right individual, there's also a potential route to Associate Director within 12 months.

The Opportunity

You'll join a close-knit and growing tax team, working directly with experienced Partners and Directors on an interesting mix of compliance, advisory and international tax planning.

The role offers genuine variety, with exposure to:

  • International Personal Tax: Advising HNW and UHNW individuals on residency, cross-border taxation and internationally held assets.
  • US/UK Tax Matters: Supporting international relocations, withholding tax issues and cross-border planning.
  • Music & Entertainment: Advising touring artists, performers, production companies and internationally mobile creative professionals.
  • Trusts & Wealth Planning: Supporting complex trust structures, IHT planning and estate-related matters.
  • Corporate Tax: Working with entrepreneurial businesses, corporate structures and international groups.
  • Advisory Projects: Collaborating with Partners and Directors on technical planning, structuring and commercially focused tax advice.

Alongside the technical work, you'll manage your own client portfolio, build relationships with key clients and professional advisers, review work and support the development of junior colleagues.

You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of the team as the business expands.

About You

We're interested in speaking to established Tax Managers and Senior Managers with a strong background in Personal or Mixed Tax who enjoy technical advisory work and client interaction.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • CTA, ATT or significant equivalent experience (QBE).
  • A strong background in UK Personal Tax or Mixed Tax within accountancy practice.
  • Experience advising non-resident and non-dom clients, including residency and cross-border tax matters.
  • Exposure to HNW individuals, international clients or offshore structures.
  • A good understanding of CGT, international tax planning and complex personal tax matters.
  • Experience managing client relationships and reviewing technical work.
  • Strong communication skills and a commercially minded approach.
  • An interest in developing your leadership skills and progressing towards Associate Director.

Experience with US/UK crossover matters, trusts, corporate structures or the entertainment industry would be particularly useful, but you don't need to be a specialist in every area.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

An exceptional client base

Work with internationally recognised performers, artists, touring productions, creative entrepreneurs and businesses across music, film, television and sport.

Interesting, advisory-led work

Move beyond routine compliance and develop your experience across complex international Personal Tax, structuring, trusts and cross-border advisory matters.

Accelerated career progression

For the right candidate, there's an opportunity to progress to Associate Director within approximately 12 months, with direct exposure to senior leadership and the chance to take on broader responsibility.

International exposure

Join a business headquartered in Los Angeles, with specialist teams working across tax, business management, financial reporting and corporate finance.

A collaborative team

Work closely with experienced Partners and Directors in a sociable, supportive environment where technical expertise and client relationships are valued.

A 35-hour working week

Benefit from a shorter contractual working week, flexible start times and a range of additional benefits.

Salary & Benefits

  • £80,000-£90,000, depending on experience.
  • Discretionary bonus, typically around 3%.
  • Potential progression to Associate Director within 12 months.
  • 35-hour working week.
  • Hybrid working, typically 4 days in the office and Wednesday from home.
  • Flexible start times.
  • Additional birthday leave.
  • Pension scheme.
  • External training and ongoing CPD.
  • Professional subscriptions paid.
  • Enhanced parental and family leave.
  • Dress-for-your-diary culture.
  • Regular team socials.
  • West End London office.

The firm is also investing in its systems and technology, including the introduction of AI tools, alongside its existing use of CCH and Xero.

Interested?

If you're a Tax Manager or Senior Manager looking for more interesting clients, greater international advisory exposure and the opportunity to progress towards Associate Director, I'd love to hear from you.

Whether you're actively looking or simply curious about what else is available, I'm happy to have an informal, confidential conversation.
