Are you a Tax Assistant Manager/Manager working within the tax transformation space? Due to continuing growth, my Big 4 client is looking to hiring a Tax Manager to join their Financial Services tax transformation team.

This is an opportunity to work on complex, high-profile tax transformation programmes, helping major financial services organisations modernise their tax functions through technology, data, process optimisation and operating model change. The work is highly varied. You could be involved in a multi-million-pound, multi-year transformation program, or a shorter, fast-paced projects.

This role sits firmly on the tax and business requirements side of transformation, rather than requiring you to be a hands-on developer.

About the Role....

Support the design and delivery of tax transformation programmes across people, process, data, technology and operating model change
Work directly with Financial Services clients to understand their existing tax and finance processes and identify opportunities for improvement
Help define future-state processes and operating models
Translate tax and finance requirements into practical, technology-enabled solutions
Support the implementation and optimisation of tax reporting, provision and compliance technology, alongside ERP and EPM platforms
Analyse tax and financial data requirements and support data mapping, data quality and data governance activities
Work with clients and technology teams to capture business requirements and develop effective workflows
Support project delivery through workstream coordination, issue resolution, stakeholder communication and reporting
Work closely with specialist development teams who handle the hands-on technology development
Contribute to proposals, business development and thought leadership as you progress

About You....

My client is particularly interested in speaking to people who come from a corporate or FS tax background, but have also gained practical experience working on tax transformational projects. That doesn't necessarily mean you have to have worked in a tax transformation team, but having some hands-on experience is highly desirable (especially with Oracle, OTP, or Longview Tax).

You'll ideally have:

Strong experience in tax, with knowledge of tax computations, tax reporting, provision or compliance processes
An understanding of the tax and finance data underpinning these processes
Experience or knowledge of the tax elements of ERP or wider enterprise transformation
The ability to understand complex tax processes and translate them into practical solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A genuine interest in how technology can improve tax processes and operating models
The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced project environment

Technology Experience - Experience with tax technology or enterprise platforms would be highly beneficial, particularly:

Oracle, including Oracle tax reporting solutions / TRCS
Longview Tax
OneSource Tax Provision (OTP)
Other tax reporting, provision or compliance platforms
ERP or EPM platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or similar enterprise finance and reporting solutions
