Looking for your next step in US/UK Private Client Tax?
I'm working with a growing boutique US/UK tax practice in the City of London that's looking to appoint an Assistant Manager to its specialist team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced US/UK Tax Senior or Supervisor ready to step up, or an existing Assistant Manager looking for greater autonomy, a better work-life balance and more exposure to complex international private client work.
You'll join a friendly, collaborative team where you'll have direct access to senior leadership, the opportunity to develop junior colleagues and plenty of scope to progress as the practice continues to grow.
The Opportunity
-
Manage a varied portfolio of US/UK private clients, including expatriates, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals
-
Review UK and US personal tax returns, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance
-
Support and mentor junior team members, developing your management experience
-
Work on complex cross-border tax matters, with opportunities to develop your advisory skills
-
Build strong client relationships and work closely with senior members of the team
-
Take ownership of your work, with genuine scope to progress into management
What We're Looking For
-
3-5 years' experience in US/UK personal tax within an accountancy or specialist tax practice
-
ATT qualified and/or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA)
-
Experience preparing and reviewing both UK and US personal tax returns
-
Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
-
A proactive approach and an interest in mentoring and developing others
You don't necessarily need to have held an Assistant Manager title before. If you're an experienced Senior or Supervisor ready for more responsibility, we'd love to hear from you.
Why Consider This Firm?
-
£55,000 - £70,000 salary, plus performance-related bonus
-
No timesheets - a refreshing approach to how work is managed
-
Hybrid working - typically 3 days in the City office
-
Flexible working hours and a genuine focus on work-life balance
-
Clear progression within a growing specialist practice
-
Interesting US/UK private client work with increasing advisory exposure
-
Direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to have your ideas heard
-
ATT and EA study support
-
Private medical insurance
-
Regular socials and a friendly, supportive team culture
