Are you a dual-handling tax specialist looking to elevate your transatlantic expertise within a collaborative, market-leading Private Wealth practice?
A premier Top 10 accountancy and advisory firm in London is appointing a US/UK Tax Senior Associate to join its growing transatlantic Private Client division. Recognised for its supportive, partner-led culture and low attrition, the firm offers an exceptional platform to handle complex dual-jurisdiction work while receiving structured mentorship toward Senior Manager and beyond.
This role is ideal for an ambitious dual-handling specialist who wants to move beyond pure processing into technical, relationship-driven client work with full study funding provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Dual-Jurisdiction Compliance: Prepare complex US (1040) and UK (SA100) personal tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, non-domiciles, and internationally mobile executives.
- Transatlantic Planning Support: Assist Managers and Partners on cross-border advisory projects, navigating double taxation treaties, foreign tax credit optimization, and foreign income sourcing.
- Filing Obligations & Risk: Identify US and UK filing requirements, FATCA/PFIC implications, and reportable foreign ownership structures.
- Quality Assurance: Review straightforward tax computations and returns prepared by junior associates, providing constructive feedback and self-reviewing outputs.
- Client Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients, gathering missing information, explaining dual-tax outcomes clearly, and flagging technical issues to managers.
About You
- Experience: Proven personal tax experience handling dual US/UK tax compliance within a UK accountancy practice or boutique transatlantic tax firm.
- Qualifications: ATT, EA (Enrolled Agent), or US CPA qualified or active student (CTA/ATT/EA study support provided).
- Technical Mindset: Strong grasp of US/UK personal tax mechanics, double tax relief, and cross-border residency rules.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, commercially aware, and eager to build a long-term career in high-net-worth transatlantic tax advisory.
Standout Benefits & Working Parent Support
- Competitive Package: Base salary £40,000 - £45,000 + performance bonus incentives.
- Full Professional Qualification Support: Full tuition funding, exam fees, and paid study leave for EA, ATT, CTA, or US CPA credentials.
- Family-Friendly Flexibility: True agile working with core-hour flexibility (accommodating family commitments and school runs) and a balanced 2-3 days in-office hybrid setup.
- Healthcare & Protection: Private Medical Insurance (PMI), Income Protection (PHI), 24/7 Virtual GP access, and 4x salary Life Assurance.
- Financial & Lifestyle Benefits: Contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave (+ option to buy/sell up to 5 days), free 1-on-1 financial coaching, Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice, and Cycle to Work scheme.
