US/UK Tax Senior Manager
£70,000-£100,000 | Established Independent US/UK Tax Specialist
Take the lead on complex US/UK tax advisory work, develop a talented team and play a key role in the future of an established specialist practice.
I'm working with a highly regarded independent US/UK tax boutique in North London that's looking to appoint an experienced Senior Manager to join its leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical side of US/UK tax but also wants the autonomy to influence how a team operates, develop client relationships and contribute to the wider direction of the practice.
You'll work closely with experienced Partners and Directors, advising high-net-worth individuals and internationally mobile clients on complex cross-border tax matters.
Unlike larger firms, where senior roles can become increasingly removed from the technical work, this opportunity offers the chance to remain hands-on with interesting advisory projects while taking on genuine leadership responsibility.
The Role
-
Lead and develop a team of Managers, Seniors and junior tax professionals.
-
Oversee complex US/UK personal tax advisory and compliance matters for HNW and internationally connected clients.
-
Advise on sophisticated cross-border planning, expatriation, PFIC, CFC and wider international tax issues.
-
Act as a trusted adviser to key clients, building long-term relationships and providing commercially focused advice.
-
Provide technical guidance and quality oversight across the team.
-
Work closely with Partners and Directors on business development, technical strategy and the continued growth of the practice.
-
Mentor and support the development of future Managers and Senior Managers.
About You
We're looking for an established US/UK Tax Senior Manager with strong technical expertise and a genuine interest in leading and developing people.
Ideally, you'll bring:
-
ATT, CTA and IRS Enrolled Agent qualifications.
-
Significant experience in US/UK personal tax, including complex advisory work.
-
Strong technical knowledge of cross-border taxation, expatriation and international tax planning.
-
Experience managing and developing tax professionals, including Managers and Seniors.
-
Confidence advising HNW clients and handling complex technical matters.
-
A collaborative approach, strong commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to the wider growth of the practice.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- A genuinely specialist practice: Join one of the UK's established independent US/UK tax boutiques, with a strong reputation for technical expertise and international private client work.
- Interesting, complex advisory work: Work with HNW individuals and internationally connected clients on challenging cross-border tax matters.
- Real influence: Have a voice in technical strategy, team development and the continued growth of the business.
- Direct Partner access: Work closely with experienced Partners and Directors in an environment where your ideas and expertise are valued.
- Leadership without losing the technical work: Continue advising clients while developing and supporting a team of talented tax professionals.
- Long-term progression: An opportunity to build towards Director-level responsibility within an established independent practice.
Salary & Benefits
£70,000-£100,000, depending on experience.
If you're an experienced US/UK Tax Senior Manager looking for greater autonomy, interesting advisory work and the opportunity to influence the direction of a specialist practice, I'd be happy to have a confidential conversation.
