An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Blackburn.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional looking to take the next step in their career, working with a diverse portfolio of clients and taking greater responsibility for the delivery of high-quality audit engagements.
You will work closely with Audit Managers and Responsible Individuals, playing a key role in the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments, while also supervising and developing more junior members of the team.
What you will be doing as an Audit Assistant Manager
- Planning, coordinating and delivering audit assignments from start to finish
- Working closely with Audit Managers and Responsible Individuals to ensure audits are delivered to a high standard
- Ensuring all audit work complies with relevant regulatory and professional standards
- Reviewing audit work completed by junior team members
- Supervising, coaching and developing more junior members of the audit team
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Identifying and resolving issues arising during audit assignments
- Managing multiple assignments and priorities effectively
- Supporting Managers and Partners with the delivery of client work
- Contributing to the continued improvement of audit processes and ways of working
What you will need to succeed as an Audit Assistant Manager
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Strong audit experience, ideally at Senior or Assistant Manager level
- A relevant professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA, or be working towards completion
- Good technical knowledge of auditing and relevant accounting standards
- Previous experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The confidence to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering high-quality work
- The ambition to continue developing their career within practice
