Audit Senior
High Wycombe | £45,000 - £52,000
If you're an experienced auditor who is fed up with being treated like another pair of hands, this is worth a look.
I'm recruiting for a growing accountancy firm in High Wycombe that wants someone who can take ownership of audits properly - planning, fieldwork, completion, client contact, the lot.
They're ideally looking for someone qualified, but they're absolutely open to a strong part-qualified candidate who has the experience to run jobs from start to finish.
This is primarily an audit role, so if you want to stay focused on audit rather than being pushed into a 50/50 accounts split, that is completely fine.
What you'll be doing
You'll lead statutory audits from planning through to completion, deal directly with clients and take ownership of your assignments.
You'll also delegate work to junior members of the team, review their work and support their development, while reporting into senior members of the audit team.
There may also be some exposure to more specialist audit work depending on your experience.
What they're looking for
-
ACA or ACCA qualified ideally, although strong part-qualified candidates will be considered
-
Experience running audits from planning through to completion
-
Confident dealing directly with clients
-
Strong communication and organisational skills
-
Someone technically capable, but equally comfortable sitting in front of a client and having a proper conversation
-
UK practice experience
-
CCH Audit Automation / CCH Accounts experience would be useful, but isn't essential
-
Driving licence and access to a car
Package
£45,000 - £52,000
You'll also get:
-
Company pension
-
Death in service cover
-
Employee discounts scheme
-
Cycle to work scheme
-
Employee Assistance Programme
-
24-hour online GP access
-
Green car scheme
The role is office-based during probation, with the option to work from home one day per week afterwards and potential for further flexibility over time.
This would suit someone who wants more ownership, stronger client exposure and a role where they can actually develop beyond simply getting another busy season under their belt.
Not actively looking? That's fine. If the role sounds like it could be a step up from where you are now, get in touch for a confidential conversation and I'll tell you exactly what the firm is looking for.
