We're recruiting for an Audit Senior to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Gloucester.
The firm works with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses and sole traders through to larger, multi-million-pound groups.
As Audit Senior, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality audit assignments while developing strong relationships with clients and supporting more junior members of the team.

Your role as an Audit Senior:
- Supporting Managers and Directors in delivering audit assignments efficiently and to a high standard.
- Ensuring audit documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
- Acting as an initial point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and responding to queries effectively.
- Attending client meetings and building strong, professional relationships.
- Reviewing and interpreting client accounts and identifying key audit risks and issues.
- Providing support, guidance and feedback to junior members of the team.
- Helping with the training and development of junior staff, including 1-to-1s, appraisals and feedback on audit assignments.
- Taking the opportunity to lead and manage smaller teams where appropriate.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
- Keeping up to date with changes in accounting standards, audit regulations, tax, ethics, technology and wider industry developments.
- Taking an active role in your own professional development and ongoing training
What you'll need to succeed:
- Newly or partly ACA/ACCA qualified, with a genuine interest in developing their audit career.
- Experienced in working across a variety of audit assignments.
- Confident working with audit standards, regulations and relevant legislation.
- Comfortable taking ownership and responsibility for a portfolio of clients.
- A confident and effective communicator who enjoys working with both clients and colleagues.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to understand the wider picture and provide advice appropriate to individual client circumstances.
