Assistant Manager - Share Incentives / Reward Tax
Big 4 Firm | London / Hybrid
£50,000 - £65,000 + benefits
I'm working with a Big 4 firm that is looking to add to its Reward and Incentives team at Assistant Manager level.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with experience across share schemes, reward tax, employment tax, equity incentives or related legal/tax advisory work who wants to develop within a highly regarded national practice.
The team advises listed businesses, private companies, fast-growth groups and international organisations on the design, implementation and operation of equity and cash-based incentive arrangements.
The work is genuinely advisory and would give you exposure to a broad mix of tax, legal, regulatory, commercial and employee reward issues. You would be working closely with more senior members of the team while also starting to take ownership of your own workstreams and client delivery.
The work could include:
-
Supporting advice on UK and international share plans, equity incentives and cash-based reward arrangements
-
Helping clients implement and operate incentive structures
-
Advising on employer and employee tax implications
-
Assisting with share plan documentation, employee communications, FAQs and tax guides
-
Preparing client updates, technical notes and practical guidance
-
Supporting client meetings and helping manage day-to-day client queries
-
Working with senior colleagues on transactions, growth events and wider corporate change
-
Contributing to proposals, pitches and business development activity
The firm is open to a range of backgrounds. You may currently be in professional services, in-house, or have a mixed background across tax, legal, accounting or reward advisory.
You are likely to be suitable if you have experience in one or more of the following areas:
-
Share incentives
-
Employee share schemes
-
Reward tax
-
Employment tax
-
Equity plans
-
Executive compensation
-
Incentive plan design
-
Related legal or tax advisory work
A qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ATT, CTA, solicitor or barrister would be useful, although people currently studying towards one of these qualifications may also be considered.
This would suit someone who wants to build real technical depth in a specialist area while still getting strong client exposure, Big 4 training and a clear route to progress.
