The Private Client Tax Senior Manager Role
As a Senior Manager, you will take ownership of a complex portfolio of private clients, delivering high-quality advisory and compliance services while playing a key role in team leadership and growth. You will work closely with Partners and senior leadership, helping to shape the direction of the Private Client offering while building strong, long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth and complex private clients
- Delivering a blend of advisory and compliance work, with increasing focus on advisory
- Providing advice across areas including CGT, IHT, residency, structuring and wider planning
- Acting as a trusted adviser and main point of contact for clients
- Reviewing work prepared by Managers and junior team members
- Leading and developing teams, including workflow planning and performance management
- Supporting business development and contributing to new client wins
- Monitoring WIP, utilisation and portfolio profitability
About You
You'll be a commercially aware, technically strong Private Client Tax professional with experience operating at Manager or Senior Manager level.
Ideal experience includes:
- CTA, ACA or equivalent qualified
- Strong background in private client / personal tax within practice
- Proven ability to manage complex client portfolios
- Experience delivering advisory work and practical tax planning solutions
- Confident leading teams and mentoring junior staff
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
