Project Accountant

Project Accountant | 6 - month FTC | Circa. £55,000 | London | Hybrid

For a charity in London, we're recruiting an interim Project Accountant to focus on delivering a portfolio of key finance projects over a 6-month period. The Project Accountant will be in a high-profile, and visible role, working across the entire Finance and Senior Leadership Team on vital projects including reviewing VAT treatments, implementing new Finance tools, reviewing and updating finance policies and procedures, and implementing new KPIs.

Main Duties:

• Deliver a portfolio of high-priority strategic finance projects
• Partner with the Finance and Senior Leadership Team to strengthen the financial management across the organisation
• Review VAT treatment and partial exemption methodology
• Implement modelling and appraisal techniques to assess ROI of new grant funded projects
• Implement new Finance tools, including invoice recognition solutions
• Review and update finance policies and procedures

Person Specification:

• Proven experience of implementing new Finance processes and procedures
• Experience managing and delivering finance projects from end-to-end
• Experience of strong stakeholder management including requirements gathering and training
• Experience of systems implementations
• Experience of identifying improvement and optimisation opportunities
• Proactive, confident, and able to partner different stakeholder groups
