An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Audit Senior Manager to join a highly respected Not-for-Profit team within a well-established mid-tier accountancy firm in London. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical excellence with a genuinely collaborative, people-focused approach.

You'll lead a diverse portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients, ranging from start-ups to long-established institutions and play a key role in delivering high-quality accounts, advisory, and wider sector-specific guidance.

What you will be doing as an Audit Senior Manager

  • Assisting with the planning, execution, and completion of audits in line with deadlines and regulations
  • Lead and manage a varied portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients, delivering accounts, assurance and advisory services tailored to each organisation.
  • Take full ownership of engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring quality, insight, and compliance throughout.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical accounting guidance as well as practical advice on controls, governance and reporting.
  • Support business development through tenders, networking, and identifying opportunities to enhance existing client relationships.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members-fostering a culture of learning, shared success, and professional growth.
  • Stay up to date with sector and regulatory developments, especially those affecting charity governance and reporting.
  • Contribute to wider firm initiatives, including recruitment, training, and process improvement.
  • Use modern systems such as MS Teams, Excel, Word, CCH Audit Automation, CCH Accounts Production, and Inflo to manage workflows and deliver high-quality outputs.

What you will need to succeed as an Audit Senior Manager

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong background in audit.
  • Experience with charities or not-for-profit organisations.
  • Familiarity with the Charities SORP and charity-specific VAT/tax issues is advantageous.
  • Personable, professional, and commercially aware, with excellent communication skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work within a collaborative environment.
