This is a newly created opportunity within a market-leading top tier firm, driven by significant recent client wins and continued growth across the Indirect Tax practice.

The team advises an impressive portfolio of multinational groups engaged in complex import/export operations, alongside a broad range of consumer-focused businesses navigating international trade challenges.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Customs, Excise & International Trade Manager or Senior Manager to play a key role in the continued expansion of this high-performing team.

You will:

• Advise on a wide spectrum of UK and international Customs & Excise matters

• Support multinational clients with cross-border trade structuring and compliance

• Work closely with Corporate Tax and Advisory colleagues on integrated projects

• Build and strengthen both internal and external relationships

• Contribute to strategic growth initiatives within the Indirect Tax team

This role offers a strong support network within an established and respected team, alongside genuine scope to deepen your technical expertise and broaden your exposure across VAT and Customs advisory.

About You

You will ideally:

• Be CTA/ATT qualified (or hold an older IIT qualification)

• Have experience covering a broad range of UK and international Customs & Excise issues (excise duty experience highly desirable)

• Demonstrate strong analytical capability and commercial awareness

• Possess excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills

Alternatively, this role would also suit an experienced VAT professional looking to pivot into a more Customs-focused advisory position, supported by a collaborative and technically strong team.
