Position Overview:
As a Senior Manager in the Tax Investigation/Disputes Resolution team, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients with HMRC enquiries, managing complex tax disputes, and providing strategic guidance throughout the resolution process. This is an opportunity to lead challenging cases, develop client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:

Work directly with clients to understand their specific business challenges and identify and develop the best possible solutions for them.

HMRC Enquiries Support:

Support clients in responding to HMRC enquiries, including reviewing all client claim documentation, providing commercial and practical advice on the client's position, and implementing strategies to achieve the best possible outcome.

Dispute Resolution:

Represent clients in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), mediation, and appeals, including tribunal preparation.

Client Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain excellent client relationships through clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused advice.

Business Development:

Identify and support the development of new business opportunities for our firm, with new and existing clients.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with the wider practice to support extensive solutions for clients, sharing knowledge to aid the development of others.

Qualifications and Skills:
-
Experience:
-
Significant experience in tax disputes or investigations, including managing complex cases and communicating effectively with stakeholders.

Technical Knowledge:
-
Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and HMRC procedures.

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills, comfortable with developing relationships with senior stakeholders.

Project Management:

Excellent project management and organisational skills, able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines across a varied portfolio.
