Audit Partner - Kent

A forward-thinking and well-established accountancy practice in Kent is seeking an Audit Partner to join its senior leadership team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role, offering the opportunity to take immediate ownership of an existing audit portfolio primarily made up of owner-managed businesses and SMEs. The position is ideal for an experienced Audit Director or Partner looking to make an immediate difference, drive client growth, and play a key role in shaping the firm's future.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for an existing audit portfolio, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery and exceptional client service.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
• Identify opportunities to grow audit work and support business development initiatives.
• Provide technical oversight, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards and internal quality procedures.
• Lead and develop the audit team, fostering talent and supporting succession planning.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• RI status with a recognised UK professional body (e.g. ICAEW or ACCA) with experience at Director or Partner level.
• Extensive audit expertise, particularly with owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
• Proven record in business development, client management, and delivering results.
• Leadership experience, including mentoring and developing teams.
• Commercially minded, proactive, and collaborative, with the drive to influence the firm's growth.
