Our client is a Top 20 Accountancy firm with a strong national reputation and ambitious growth plans.
Following significant investment in their specialist tax service lines and the opening of a flagship Leeds office, they are now looking to expand their R&D Tax team across the region.
Led by experienced senior leadership with a clear national growth strategy, this is an opportunity to join a collaborative, fast-growing team with genuine opportunities for progression.


Your new role:


As an R&D Tax Manager, you'll be working alongside specialist Partners and technical teams, delivering R&D tax relief claims and advisory services to a diverse client base including owner-managed businesses, large corporates and innovative SMEs.
You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end R&D claim process, with the opportunity to advise clients on qualifying activities, optimising claims and navigating HMRC enquiries.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of R&D clients across a range of sector
  • Preparing and reviewing R&D tax relief claims and technical reports
  • Liaising directly with clients to identify qualifying expenditure and activities
  • Supporting clients through HMRC enquiries and providing technical guidance

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong experience in preparing or reviewing R&D tax claims
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK R&D tax legislation and HMRC processes
