A Year to Remember: Reflecting on PRO's Successes in 2023
As we bid farewell to 2023, it's only fitting to take a moment and reflect on the remarkable journey we've had at PRO. This year has been a testament to our team's dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment to excellence. Let's take a look at some of the key moments that made 2023 an exceptional year for us.
A Night of Fun and Fundraising: The Annual Christmas Quiz
One of the highlights of our year was undoubtedly the Annual Christmas Quiz—an event that not only showcased our clients' quizzing expertise but also provided an opportunity for us to make a positive impact in our community. With seven enthusiastic teams participating, the night was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and a healthy dose of competition.
Hosted by our dynamic duo, Kate Green and Alison Humphries, the quiz night brought together professionals from MKS, MHA, Deloitte, TAP, Simmons Gainsford, BKL, and our very own PRO team. The real star of the evening, however, was the diabolical sports round that seemed to have all the wrong answers. Thanks to Kate's quick thinking, what could have been a washout turned into the most memorable and hilarious segment of the night.
Beyond the entertainment, the Annual Christmas Quiz achieved something even more significant—it raised an impressive sum for our charity partners, Child Bereavement UK. While the exact figure is yet to be confirmed, we are proud to announce that the funds raised enabled us to surpass our 2023 target of £7,000. This really is a true testament to the generosity and goodwill of everyone involved, with which we send heartfelt thanks to all our generous contributors throughout the year.
Charity fundraising: PRO's Partnership with CBUK
Throughout 2023, the entire PRO team rallied together in support of our charity partner, Child Bereavement UK. Starting with a goal of £7,000, our team's efforts, including a Tough Mudder, Hackney Half Marathon, bingo night and more, enabled us to not only meet but exceeded our target. Inspired by our collective success, we've decided to extend our support for the next six months with the ambitious goal of reaching £10,000.
Celebrating Achievements and Milestones
At PRO, our success is not only measured in financial achievements but also in the growth and happiness of our teams. This year, we celebrated numerous staff members reaching impressive milestones, with some marking over 15 years with our PRO family. Our industry-leading staff retention rates reflect the exceptional culture we've fostered over the years.
Our teams enjoyed a mix of fun and indulgence at our highly coveted prem club events, such as Lifesize monopoly and high-class dining at some of London’s hotspots, all aimed at celebrating team successes whilst fostering friendships and teamwork. With out highest achievers being awarded with a 3nt trip to Portugal to enjoy boat trips, paddle boarding and some well-deserved relaxation in the sun.
The cherry on top for this year’s successes was the recognition we received at the British Recruitment Awards, where we were nominated for four awards, resulting in us being recognised as the Financial Services Recruitment Agency of the Year.
Looking Ahead to 2024: Exciting Ventures on the Horizon
As we wrap up the year, we're already gearing up for an exciting 2024. Our calendar is packed with industry leading events, including a Bank of England Economic update event scheduled for May (register for updates), and we hope to continue to partner with the CIOT and other industry experts to run webinars and seminars on career development and market conditions. Internally we have some exciting Premier clubs, charity fundraisers and an eagerly anticipated trip to a luxury boutique retreat in a Spanish vineyard.
On Monday we are taking the whole team to the Underground Cookery School where we will host our annual kick off meeting, where we shall celebrate the highs of 2023 and roll out our goals for 2024.
