Assurant Solutions provide niche-market insurance products in the property, casualty and life and health insurance sectors. They are a Fortune 500 with offices across 13 countries.
THE CHALLENGE
Charlotte Hyldon is Tax Director for Europe & Asia regions at Assurant and due to an internal promotion she was looking to add a European Tax Accountant to her in-house tax team in Crewe. After some difficulty sourcing for the right candidate both internally and with local agencies, Helen Kennedy (Recruitment Manager) reached out to Pro-Tax as she felt the services of a tax specialist agency were needed as the role had been around for 6 months with no solution so far.
OUR SOLUTION
After an in-depth chat with Helen it was soon apparent the main issue was the lack of quality tax candidates in the local area that could not be previously sourced with the tools at hand. With the use of Pro-Tax’s widespread candidate database and broad advertising reach a number of suitable candidates were found. Given the immediacy of the vacancy one candidate shone through as they had recently finished a contract role with leisure business in the North West.
THE RESULT
Having sent their CV the candidate was called to interview with Charlotte Hyldon with Helen Kennedy sitting in. After a successful first round a second meeting was arranged in order to meeting Charlotte once again but also Mahendra Ranadev of whom also sits in the tax team. With Pro-Tax managing all ends of the process from arranging diaries, interview preparation and feedback, from start to finish, the candidate was offered the role to which they accepted and started the week after.
FOLLOW UP
Once the candidate had started and finished settling in, a meeting was arranged for representatives of Pro-Tax, Pro-Legal and Pro-Finance to meet with the business as all arms of the business had become preferred suppliers. A Pro-Tax welcome pack was sent to the successful candidate to congratulate them on their new role and arrangements for lunch were made the next time they were in London.
