THE CLIENT
Everfair Tax was established in 2014 when Gillian Everall decided to step away from Frank Hirth and begin her own private client venture. Gillian’s aim was to offer a full range of private client tax and expatriate tax services with a more personalised touch and service.
THE CHALLENGE
Gillian’s team consisted of three tax professionals in addition to the support staff. With two focusing directly on expatriate tax, Gillian and another headed up the private client side and were experiencing large influxes of work. With a large amount of business to be won the need for an additional Private Client Manager became apparent and Gillian went to market. Before contacting Pro-Tax Gillian had asked a few recruiters to aid with her search, receiving only 2 CVs over the course of months. With the urgency increasing when her colleague was due to go on maternity leave, Gillian reached out to Pro-Tax and asked if we were able help.
OUR SOLUTION
After an initial greet over the phone Pro-Tax arranged a meeting with Gillian at her office in Weybridge to discuss her recruitment needs. Gillian discussed how she had been out to market for a number of months but to no avail. When discussing the solution we proposed a retainer was the best way to approach the role. Gillian agreed that Pro-Tax would come up with a plan action which would span over the course of 4 weeks and would outline the steps Pro-Tax would take to secure a candidate in the role.
THE RESULT
Since meeting Gillian within the next couple of days Pro Tax put six candidates forward, with two being requested for interview. Pro-Tax managed all diary arrangements as well as giving and receiving feedback. Gillian then requested a second interview and later that day offered the candidate. The successful candidate then accepted the offer in Week 3, to start in week 4, all within the 4 week period outlined in the plan of action.
FOLLOW UP
Having recently had lunch with the successful candidate Pro-Tax can confirm they are very happy in their new role. Gillian is very happy with how the candidate is settling in and is very pleased with Pro Tax
