It is with great pleasure that Pro-Recruitment Group would like to announce the successful completion of a management buyout, acquiring the business from Pat Keogh. From June 2022 the new owners of the company are Alison Humphries, Ben Hall, Kevin Racher and Tom Eagle. “It has been a pleasure working with Pat and building the company to the fantastic firm it is now. I’d like to thank Pat for everything and wish him a long and happy retirement!”
We asked our former Chairman to say a few words. “Having set up Pro back in 2007 it was with a tinge of sadness that I said goodbye to what has been my life for the last 15 years. It has been an immense pleasure to build such a great company and to have worked with such wonderful people along the way. The business is nothing without its great people, and that, we have in abundance. I'm proud of where I have taken Pro to, but, as always, there is a new chapter for others to write and I am pleased to officially hand over the reins to Alison, Ben, Tom and Kevin.”
Tom Eagle, Head of Pro-Finance, commented, “On behalf of the new ownership group, I would like to extend a huge thank you to Pat Keogh, who has been instrumental in the creation and running of the Pro-Recruitment Group for the last 15 years. His dedication, hard work and leadership have been key to the success of the business we are now privileged to be the new owners of, and we look forward to the next 15…”
Ben Hall, who leads our senior hires team, Prosero Search, has been with the business almost since inception talked to us about how he felt the business had evolved and why now was the right time for a change in ownership. “I joined the firm back in 2010 when there were only a handful of us in a small office in Farringdon. I have had the pleasure of working with some great people along the way and I am delighted to be a shareholder in such a fantastic firm with such fantastic people. The business has changed significantly over the years and evolved into the company it is today; our people are second to none and I couldn’t be any more proud to be part of the new ownership of Pro. I am very excited about the future and the plans we have, and I know that it’ll be an exciting journey for all involved.”
We then spoke to Kevin Racher, who leads our Pro-Tax business. “We have a superb group of talented people at Pro and the most important thing is to take care of them; something we have always done, and we will hold onto that dearly and enhance it. Our short-term task is to ensure a ‘business as usual’ model. One thing we have introduced is Summer Hours. Health, wellbeing and happiness are at the forefront of the new Pro and this is just the start. Personally, it is an honour to be taking over this fantastic business and we will continue to bring new ideas to the firm with the hope that not only we retain the superb team at Pro but also continue to attract some great people too.”
“I wholeheartedly agree with Kevin on this” said Alison, “Our business has changed so much over the years and it is working so well. We don’t want to start dramatically changing anything or bringing in lots of new ways of working, but we will listen to our people and implement things that will work well for our business. We will be thought leaders within our niche industry and drive positive change through action not just words and we will be open-minded to new ideas. We will all continue to work hard and lead from the front, demonstrating a high standard in all that we do. Pro is a fun place to work where you can be hugely successful, but it’s also a family and being part of that is really something special.”
Alison continued, “I understand why people are sad if they leave Pro, but most of all Pat, but rest assured, Pro is in very safe hands and hopefully you can check in on us every now and again from your deck chair with a smile on your face and be very proud of your legacy! To everyone at Pro, we hope you are excited for what the future holds for each of you individually. This is a new time; a new era and we are very excited to enter into this new journey with all of you”
